Maybe its not the world thats mad...

Today will be remember for one thing, President George W. Bush was inaugurated as President of the United States of America, and quite frankly that's exactly where he should stay, the United States of America.

How can one man, almost single handily cause so much tension and anxiety in the world is beyond comprehension and at the same time feel that he is bringing peace and stability to millions? Are we so blind, not that I as a non resident of the United States prevent him from becoming President, for I cannot vote in their elections, but millions did. Millions upon millions, far more that died in the recent Tsunami disaster in Asia, voted for this man and yet there are no calls for aid to the United States when quite clearly some of the population deserve some form of guidance and assistance, should we not be diverting our attention to them, even though it is far too late but we have 5 years to prepare them for the next election, if there still is a world left for the United States to be the peacemakers of.

I'm not sure how stable the world is at the moment, from a peace situation. We have wars in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, and yesterday there were reports by a senior journalist stating the the US administration was looking at targets in Iran. After Iran had made reports that it had the ultimate deterrent. But lets stop and look for a minute, should we really be blaming the United States for all the problems that surround us? I mean, as the President has clearly stated he is looking after his own home security above all else, and this is a very admiral stance and one that any citizen of any country would willingly stand up for. He has also stated that he is out to fight terrorism, again another point that we would all agree on, but there is something that does not ring true in all this. If homeland security was a goal then how can bombing a country that has no weapons or aircraft capable of attacking its so called target be a threat? How can changing a government and then seeking it to be replaced by a friendly government to one particular power be considered as a goodwill gesture to the people of that land and therefore promote peace? How can the wilful destruction of some of that countries most precious sights be, again, considered as a sign of helping and goodwill, an act that will only inflame already high tensions and cause greater anti feeling than was already there? And all this in the respects of peace. And how come, and this is one fact I would like to see addressed, how come all of the major interventions by the United States be in areas where there is considerable resources or near areas of large deposits of a certain natural resource and not say in some of the African states that need help where these are left to other nations to assume responsibility, when we are told that economics do not enter into the United States decisions at all? So Mr President, the war in Iraq, and I am sorry to keep harping on back to old events that you wish would rather go away, the reason for invading Iraq was because of the threat that was posed by that country from its military and from weapons of mass destruction, for ail of you who do not understand the concept of weapons of mass destruction I mean WMD's and not for oil? So now that it has been proved beyond all shadow of doubt that there was no legitimate fighting force, i.e. no Iraqi army, only the ones now running around because of the invasion and anti American feeling, and certainly no weapons of mass destruction, or were these moved by the so called army prior to your armies massed on the borders, entering Iraq, are you going to admit the truth, that this war was for oil and nothing else? I mean, all foreigners in Iraq are now labelled with the same brush thanks to you Mr President, citizens from around the world who entered Iraq to help clear up the mess you caused are being kidnapped and beheaded because of your policy of homeland security and peace, so as a good will message to you Mr President on this your special day, and whist there is still a world to live in I for one say thanks.

Thanks for what I will wait and see, but as a member of the worlds population, please would you consider staying away and playing your games at home and not on a world stage, for the sake of my 8 year old son, his family, my family, my friends and their relations and all the other citizens of the world, we love life, honest we do, we want to feel safe and secure, we all want to feel as if we are doing the right thing, but Mr President this means all of us working together, no one country is an Island, America cannot live as one country on a planet that is not there, so for all our sakes please think not what you can do with the world but what the world can do with you.
